Paint Your Own Furniture Workshop Saturday, 9/13 at Lorraine's Legacy at 10am

$85.00

Ready to Fall in Love with Your Furniture?

Whether it’s a family heirloom you’re not crazy about or a dining table that needs a little extra something, this workshop is for you!

Join me, Julie D’Amico-Beres, furniture artist and owner of 554 and Company, for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to give furniture a fresh new look using Fusion Mineral Paint at Lorraine’s Legacy in Downtown Hartland on Saturday, September 13th at 10am.

🎨 What You’ll Do:

Transform a small piece of your own furniture—from start to finish—with expert guidance.

We’ll walk through the full process: Prep – Paint – Seal.

🪑 What to Bring:

A small item you can carry on your own and that will fit in your passenger seat, such as:

  • A picture frame

  • A shelf

  • A chair or stool

  • A small side table or nightstand

No sanding or major prep needed beforehand—just give it a quick dust.

Note: We don’t offer repairs during the workshop, so make sure your piece is in paint-ready condition.

📸 Before You Arrive:

Email me a photo of your piece at 554andcompany@gmail.com This helps me determine if we’ll need to use a bonding primer like Ultra Grip - especially for glossy finishes. We do not recommend these types of surfaces for your first project, nor do we recommend painting white for your first attempt. White always requires priming beforehand - ALWAYS!

Cost is $85

Spaces are limited to just 8 participants to ensure a personalized, guided experience.

🎁 Workshop Includes:

  • All the tools + supplies you’ll need: cleaner, paint brushes, sealer, and more

  • A handout with instructions, tips and tricks you can take notes on and take with you to help guide you through your next project

  • A variety of mostly neutral colors to choose from during sign up for your first project, plus re-Design with Prima Decor Waxes to highlight your project

Note: If you heart is set on a specific color, we invite you to shop for paint at the location this class is being offered. You are welcome to purchase a 500ml container which will mean you will have a large amount of paint left over for a future project.

👩‍🎨 What You’ll Leave With:

  • A fully transformed piece of furniture or decor

  • The confidence to keep creating on your own

Dress comfortably in clothes you don’t mind getting paint on—just in case. An apron or painting shirt is a great idea. Bring a blanket or large towel to cushion and protect your masterpiece on the ride home. If you use cheaters for reading, you will need them for painting!
